Puppy Induction:I come and meet the family with your new arrival. It is best for all to be there so everyone can keep each other right. I cover toilet training, basic commands, nutrition, play, exercise and rest. Session lasts a minimum of one hour. I will give you a written plan of what we have covered. Any questions just call.

Puppy socialisation: introducing your pet to other animals and giving advice on body language and understanding calming signals. We have a quite private field where your pet can explore of lead learn to come back whilst being distracted, the key element being fun.

Obedience Classes:From March to September classes are outside in Balburnie park as I believe training should be in an environment where the most distraction is. Your pet learn to pay attention to you despite a football game or a dog playing ball with it's owner without joining in. As the owner you quickly learn to trust your pet and relax. We move indoors due to the dark nights and classes are held in Coaltown of Balgonie. Groups are limited to seven to ensure the training is tailored to you and your pets individual needs. All dogs are capable of learning new tricks it just depends how you teach them. Call to discuss to be allocated to the right group.

Behavioural Issues:This is when your dog is not understanding what is expected of them. Frustration can lead to many unwanted behaviours for example fear aggression, over protection of house , owner or car to name but a few. During a consultation it is important that all family who deal with the dog on a daily basis are present to ensure a clear picture is made. A written plan of action will be left for you to follow. Behaviours take time to de3velop so be patient progress maybe slow and introduction of change may need to be gradual. If in doubt don't fall out just call for advice.

Reiki:Is known as universal energy of life. In dogs and cats the practitioner places hands on the animal the animal dictates how long a session lasts. They nearly always offer the practitioner the area that is causing eg pain by turning the part of there body that is sore to be worked on. This has to be seen to be believed by some and it has excellent results. Reiki sessions for people normally last around an hour. The practitioner places their hands in an inuntrusive manner on areas of a fully colthed body. Reiki is know to treat stress, depression, reduce arthritic pain , relieve migraine, Reiki goes on working several days after treatment. It is a wonderful experience.

Massage:The precussion messager can be used to increase muscle tone after injury, build weak muscles, ease arthritic pain, treat sport injury, encourage the use of domant muscles. For people it can be usesd to relieve sciatica, cramps, back and joint pain. Also assist in the recovery of damaged muscle. The massager has five settings with different heads and a heat option. Why not treat you and your pet at the same time. All equipment is sanitised before and after use.

Dog Walking:Dogs are collected and taken to and from their walk in a secure van. Dogs are not walked near roads or where they maybe at risk. If of lead all dogs are returned to their lead then taken back to the van for a drink a biscuit and a cosy bed before being dropped of. You will be asked to completed a form allowing me to access your house for the purpose of dog walking. I have a disclosure which neans my back ground has been checked by police to prove I have no criminal convictions. You will also be asked to provide emergency contact details and give authorisation for Glenalco's Pet Services representative to take your pet to the vet in the event of an emergency. Walks can be 1 hour or half an hour. We will give you a two hour timescale of when we will arrive. We will carryout this service despite the weather as long as roads are driveable. Walks can be morning, afternoon or tailored to your needs. Discount will be given for booking five concecutive walks. For pricing please conact by phone or email. Some of our favourite walks are Formont Hill, Heathery wood in Ladybank, Balburnie park, Leven Glen. Another great place is tentsmuir forest. We love going to the beach which is always peaceful when it's raining or snowing. If you have a faourite place or preferred route let us know we will try and accommodate. Dogs will be walked in small groups after assessment to ensure compatibility. If you require an individual walk this can be arranged but will incur a further charge. Owners are advised to treat their dogs for the prevention to ticks. Unfortunately we can not walk bitches in season. Dogs can be given a pre made meal if required on return. Every effort will be made to towel dry dogs and remove excess mud before they return.

Day Care Service:Dogs all ages come for the day while owners are at work or can be half day if have an appointment and don't want to leave dog or puppy. Collection by arrangement 08.00hrs - 16.00hrs or 9-5 service is tailored to needs.
